– Penn’s Mark Zoller was the game’s leading scorer, with a career high 33 points on 9-of-12 shooting — including 22 points in the first half. Zoller also matched Sumpter’s 10-for-10 performance from the charity stripe.
– Penn turned over the ball 17 times in the first half, leading to 28 Villanova points.
– The Quakers outrebounded the Wildcats 33 to 26, including 12 offensive rebounds against 11 Wildcats defensive rebounds, but Villanova had 19 second-chance points to Penn’s nine.
