Holding a four-point advantage with less than five minutes left in the first half, Princeton ended the half with a 15-2 run. Kyle Koncz was fouled shooting a three-pointer and made all three free throws to kick off the spurt. Then the Tigers executed their offense to perfection, getting four layups, while holding Alabama A&M in check defensively. Princeton went to the locker room at intermission with a 32-15 lead.

After the Tiger lead fluctuated between 13 and 18 points almost all of the second half, the Bulldogs got within 11 on a Cornelius Hester three-pointer with 1:48 left. But Princeton was perfect from the free throw line down the stretch to put away the game.

Koncz capped off a strong homecoming by leading all scorers with 19 points — 15 of which came in the first half as Princeton built up its lead. All eight of his shots came from beyond the arc, and he hit four of them. Koncz also hit all seven free throw attempts and played 32 turnover-free minutes.
