Gamecenter: Harvard 71, Penn 74 (OT)

Key sequence: Down 70-68 with 38 seconds left in overtime, Harvard’s Zach Martin missed the front end of a one-and-one and Penn controlled the rebound. Ibby Jaaber was fouled and hit the first free throw, but missed the second. However, with Brian Cusworth on the bench with five fouls, Havard was unable to grab the rebound, and it went back to the Quakers on the alternating possession. Given a second chance, Jaaber hit both free throws to put Penn up five with just 21 seconds left.

Help wanted: Make or break weekend for Princeton

Princeton trails Penn by two games with just five remaining for each team, so the Tigers’ only real shot at a share of the Ivy title involves winning out while hoping someone else can take down Penn, too. The Quakers’ magic number to clinch outright is four, so if Penn makes it through this weekend unscathed, Princeton’s title odds grow significantly longer, as Penn would have to lose two of its final three games. This week The 14-Game Tournament looks at the possible outcomes of this weekend’s action at Jadwin Gym and The Palestra.
