Key sequence The game opened with a bizarre series of streaks. Brown scored the first 10 points of the morning, only to see Hartford reel off 16 unanswered. However, the Bears answered with a 12-0 run to take a lead they would not relinquish at 22-16 with 7:27 remaining in the first half.
Key sign it was over Jaret Von Rosenberg drew Hartford to within 51-42 with 14:56 to play, but a 7-2 run by Brown gave the visitors a 58-44 advantage just before the midway point of the second half.
Key performance Chris Skrelja poured in a career-high 29 points on 11-for-12 shooting from the field and sank 7 of 8 at the line. Skrelja also finished with five rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 36 minutes.
Key statistic The Bears shot 18 of 27 (66.7 percent) inside the arc, while the Hawks were just 13 of 28 (46.4 percent) on two-point attempts. As a result, Brown outscored Hartford 36-26 from two.

– Damon Huffman also had a big scoring game with 20 points for Brown on 6-for-10 shooting from three, while Mark McAndrew chipped in 16. The three-man starting backcourt scored 65 of the team’s 79 total points.
