The Dartmouth coaching staff has landed their third commitment for 2008, as Kirk Crecco tells the New England Recruiting Report he will play for the Big Green next season. The 6-2 guard hails from Gilford, New Hampshire. Despite his close proximity to Dartmouth, Crecco claims it wasn’t until after the Eastern Invitational Camp in July that he caught the coaching staff’s attention. He joins Northfield Mount Hermon forwards Josh Riddle and David Rufful in Terry Dunn’s 2008 recruiting class.

Slant: Dunn and his assistants won’t have to travel far to keep tabs on their commitments, as Crecco is less than two hours away and Riddl and Rufful are just south in Massachusetts. The scouting report on Crecco describes him as slender with deceptive athleticism and a very good stroke from three-point range. His hustle has drawn praise, as has his ability to help out with ballhandling against pressure defenses and his commitment at the defensive end.
