Keys to the Game |
Key sequence |
Stony Brook blew open a 26-15 game with a run of 10 unanswered points in a 4:50 span bridging halftime. Ricky Lucas kicked it off with a jumper, then Mitchell Beauford followed with a layup to double up Dartmouth at halftime, 30-15. Lucas opened the second-half scoring with a bucket, and Emanuel Neto followed suit. Following a Big Green turnover, Lucas converted a pair of free throws to make it 36-15 with 17:25 to play.

Key sign it was over |
Alex Barnett’s dunk cut Dartmouth’s deficit to 18 just after the midway point of the second half, but the Seawolves responded with a quick 9-0 run to put away the game. A Beauford jumper and layup by Chris Martin pushed the margin back to 22, then Beauford got a conventional three-point play. When Demetrius Young came up with a steal and fed Martin for a lay-in, Stony Brook led 61-34 with just 6:18 to play.
