There’s only one game on tonight’s docket involving an Ivy League team, as Mercer visits Lavietes Pavilion to take on Harvard. The game will mark Tommy Amaker’s first appearance on the home bench for the Crimson, so it will be interesting to see if all the attention the program has received since his hiring in the spring will translate into a bigger turnout.

After ending the Basketball Travelers Classic on a real high note with a demolition of Northwestern State, Harvard is back home for Amaker’s Lavietes Pavilion debut. The Crimson will face a Mercer team that scored one of the big early season upsets last weekend with a shockingly easy 96-81 upset at USC. Harvard should face a tough task in stopping the Bears’ high-scoring guards James Florence (26.0 points per game) and Shaddean Aaron (17.5 points per game).
