Pattman expected to miss weekend games

The Valley News reports Leon Pattman is suffering from a viral infection and is not expected to make the trip down to Penn and Princeton with this teammates this weekend. The senior guard is Dartmouth’s leading scorer at 16.8 points per game and the team’s top assist man at 2.5 per contest. Pattman missed the first six games of the season with a high ankle sprain, and the Big Green went 0-6 in those games.

Slant: This is the last thing Terry Dunn needs with his slumping squad embarking on its longest road trip of the season and playing two teams likely to be fired up after recent setbacks. Dartmouth was a completely different team early on without Pattman, and the odds of taking either game this weekend just got a lot longer. Pattman is the only Big Green regular shooting over 35 percent from three and the team’s go-to scorer, so Alex Barnett may end up taking 15-plus shots once again and DeVon Mosley will need to knock down some outside shots to keep defenses honest.
