Monday’s New Haven Register reports Ed White has left the Yale men’s basketball program for personal reasons. The sophomore guard had played in four of six contests this season, but didn’t make it off the bench in Saturday’s loss at Wagner.

Slant: White got caught in a numbers game in a crowded Yale backcourt, though he was getting limited minutes on a fairly regular basis so far this season. His departure may open up a spot in the rotation. Monday night saw sophomore Ari Greenberg get the first meaningful playing time of his career with three minutes off the bench.
