Keys to the Game
Key sequence	Trailing 15-5, Dartmouth held Cornell to just two points over a five-minute period, but the Big Green shot just 2 of 8 during this span and only made up two points. Eventually Adam Gore nailed a three-pointer to put the Big Red up 20-9, then after two DeVon Mosley free throws, Cornell took advantage of a second chance from an offensive rebound when Lenny Collins knocked down a three to put the Big Red up 23-11. Cornell would maintain a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Key sign it was over	Jason Meyer’s jumper had drawn Dartmouth to within 12 at 57-45 with 3:47 left. Meyer got a good look at a three-pointer that would have cut the deficit to nine, but couldn’t knock it down. At the other end, with the shot clock nearing zero, Collins found Graham Dow, who coolly drained a dagger three-pointer to put the Big Red up 15 with just 2:11 left.
Key performance	Adam Gore. The Cornell freshman added to his Rookie of the Year rÃ¨sumÃ¨ with a 20-point performance. Gore launched 14 three-pointers, hitting six of them, and added a career-high six rebounds and a pair of steals.
Key statistic	Cornell’s 12-of-25 three-point shooting. The Big Red once again shot the lights out from the outside, hitting 48.0 percent of its three-point attempts. Strangely, Cornell shot just 13 of 35 (37.1 percent) from inside the arc.

Notes
–	Terry Dunn got almost no production from his starting five, who combined for just 16 points in 110 minutes. Paul Bode, Mike Lang, and Johnathan Ball all failed to score. For Lang, who attempted just two shots on the evening, it was his first scoreless game under Terry Dunn.

–	Steve Donahue’s backcourt once again led the way, with Gore and Dow combining for 32 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and six steals.

–	Ryan Rourke appeared to injure his ankle late and did not return to the game.

–	Cornell frontcourt supersub Jason Hartford played just eight minutes, while fellow transfer Ugo Ihekweazu got 20 minutes of playing time off the bench.

–	The officials assessed a mere 23 total personal fouls in the game. The two teams combined to shoot only 12 free throws, with Cornell attempting just four.
