Keys to the Game |
Key sequence |
Cornell scored the first 10 points of the contest and led 25-17 with just over eight minutes to play before halftime. Jason Hartford struck from long range to give the Big Red a double-digit lead, then put back Alex Tyler’s miss a minute later. Ryan Wittman did the same a few minutes later, draining a three and adding a layup on the next possession to more than double up Yale at 35-17. Jeff Foote capped off an 11-0 run for Cornell with a free throw, as the Bulldogs found themselves down 19 shortly before halftime.

Key sign it was over |
The Big Red turned an uncompetitive game into a laugher with an 8-0 run just before the midpoint of the second half. Dale then got inside for a layup, and Foote followed suit with 10:42 to play, as Cornell opened up a dominating 53-28 lead.
