Key sequence The game was tied at seven apiece less than three minutes into the game, but Quinnipiac score 18 unanswered points during a backbreaking run that blew open the game. The Bobcats hit seven of eight shots during this period, while holding the Big Green scoreless for nearly six minutes. DeMario Anderson hit a pair of three-pointers, while Dartmouth had three turnovers and missed 10 consecutive shots. Until DeVon Mosley finally connected on a three-pointer with just under 12 minutes remaining in the first half, the Big Green trailed 25-7.
Key sign it was over Already holding a commanding 67-45 advantage with 11 minutes to play, Quinnpiac used a quick 7-0 run to open up a 29-point lead. Bryan Geffen’s three-pointer with 9:42 on the clock gave the Bobcats their largest lead of the night and Dartmouth would not be coming back from that deficit.
Key performance DeMario Anderson exploded for a game-high 27 points for the Bobcats, while also adding six rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and two steals in 27 minutes.
Key statistic Quinnipiac just wasn’t missing on the night, shooting an unbelievable 33 of 51 (64.7 percent) for the game. Dartmouth could muster just 24-for-63 shooting (38.1 percent).
Notes

– Alex Barnett was the only double-figure scorer for Dartmouth, finishing with 17 points.

– Casey Cosgrove had an excellent game for Quinnipiac as well, finishing with 12 points and a very impressive nine assists in 25 minutes, while Geffen had 12 points and eight assists off the bench as well.

– The Bobcats recorded a whopping 27 assists on their 33 baskets.

– The Big Green bench was assessed a technical foul in the final minute of the first half, with Geffen converting both free throws for the home team.

– Dartmouth will be back in action on Saturday, December 22, when the Big Green pays a visit to Army for a 1:00 pm ET tipoff.
