Notes
– Former Ivy League recruiting target Drew Shiller led all scorers with 18 points off the bench.
– Harris was the only Harvard player with decent numbers at the end of the night, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds, and a pair of blocks.
– Palo Alto native Jeremy Lin had a very rough game in front of friends and family, fouling out after 21 scoreless minutes.
– The rebounding numbers were about as lopsided as they get, with Harvard at 23.3 percent offensively and Stanford at 65.4 percent.
– The three Crimson freshmen all saw their first college action, and sophomore Dan McGeary surprisingly played despite transferring from New Hampshire after last season, finishing with nine points.
– Harvard will try to put the loss behind it when it faces UC Santa Barbara (1-0) in the second game of the event on Saturday, November 10, at 7:30 pm ET.
