The Valley News reports Dartmouth freshman Marlon Sanders was suspended indefinitely prior to the Big Green’s season opener at Boston College. The disciplinary measure was taken for an unspecified “violation of team rules” by the Cleveland native.
Slant: Sanders had been impressive in preseason practices and was a candidate to start in the backcourt for Terry Dunn’s squad. So far Leon Pattman hasn’t missed a beat after returning to the program this fall, so backcourt depth is fine. But depending how long Sanders’s suspension lasts, Dartmouth is a Pattman groin tweak away from being pretty thin on the perimeter.
