Terry Dunn literally picked up a big commitment when John Marciano of Roselle Park, NJ, told NJHoops.com that he had committed to Dartmouth. The 7-0 center opted for the Big Green over a scholarship offer from Fairleigh Dickinson. The Rivals.com article describes Marciano as a “big man with good hands and a nice touch.” He’s the second Dartmouth recruit to go public with a commitment.
Slant: After being named a Super Soph All-Star at the Eastern Invitational Camp and getting early recruiting attention from some Big East schools, Marciano’s stock had fallen. He told Jay Gomes of NJHoops.com that Dartmouth and FDU were the only two campuses he visited. Marciano have to earn his minutes in college next year, with sophomore Kurt Graeber and freshman Elgin Fitzgerald already in the fold.
