Georgia forward Demuyakor commits to Harvard

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that Adam Demuyakor of Buford, GA, has announced his intention to attend Harvard next year. The 6-5 forward averaged 12.2 points and 8.5 rebounds as a junior last season at North Gwinnett High School, earning all-county honors. At a chiseled 215 points, Demuyakor is a physical specimen who projects to play the power forward position in college.

Slant: There isn’t a lot of information out there on Demuyakor, which means either the Crimson found a kid other programs missed, or other programs didn’t think that highly of him. With highly regarded freshman Pat Magnarelli already in the fold, it will be interesting to see what Harvard does with Demuyakor, who would seem to play the same power forward position as Magnarelli. At the very least, Demuyakor’s physical game will be an interesting fit with a program that has has relied more on finesse play from its big men in recent years.
