Dartmouth Coach Dunn Resigns

Dartmouth College announced today that men’s basketball coach Terry Dunn has resigned. The Big Green is slated to play at Harvard at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Dartmouth will use a “coach-by-committee” approach for tomorrow’s game with duties spread between assistants Mark Graupe, Michael Brown, and Tim Lane.

According to ESPN.com’s blog post on the story, Dunn’s twin brother Jerry took an indefinite leave of absence from his post as an associate head coach at Michigan due to personal family matters.

FOXSports.com reported earlier that a “player revolt” preceded a “forced resignation.” FOXSports added that the players had signed a document stating that they would boycott the game against Harvard if Dunn was not removed from his coaching position.

Dunn is the second Ivy coach to lose his job this season, following former Penn coach Glen Miller, who was terminated after an 0-7 start.
