The Ivy League went 0-2 last night, but those losses couldn’t have been more different. While Penn was dropping a 14-0 run on third-ranked Villanova and giving the Wildcats their toughest game of the season, Dartmouth lost in Portland to a 2-6 Maine team playing without its best player.
Dartmouth and Penn kick off a fairly light week in Ivy hoops tonight. Look for the league’s composite record to remain at three games under .500 at the end of the night.
The St. Louis Times reports Kirkwood High School senior teammates Billy Brandenburg and Cody Green are both being recruited by Ivy League schools.
Hoopmasters.com is reporting that John Pietkiewicz, previously listed as a Cornell and Yale prospect by Rivals.com, is now also involved with Columbia and Dartmouth in the Ivy League, as well as Wofford, Furman, Lipscomb, and Division II schools.
The Valley News reports Dartmouth freshman Marlon Sanders was suspended indefinitely prior to the Big Green’s season opener at Boston College. The disciplinary measure was taken for an unspecified “violation of team rules” by the Cleveland native.
